Customer Support Policy

(How Modifications Affect Customer Support)

The Mantis 3D Printer was built from the ground up to be the easiest-to-use 3D Printer in the world, and we’re proud to offer the highest levels of customer support to our customers.

Every Mantis 3D Printer that leaves our factory ships with optimized settings to ensure high quality prints right out of the box!

We recommend all customers leave their 3D Printer in its stock configuration to ensure trouble-free performance, and the best user experience.

With that said, we know there are Expert-Level users out there who will want to go “under the hood”, and develop their own custom settings for their 3D Printer… what should you consider before deciding to go “Under the Hood”?

An Important Note About Modding Your Printer, or Overridding Factory Settings

We will give our sincere best-effort to support customers who have modified their 3D Printer, or otherwise modified Factory settings.

With that said, we can not control for unknown tweaks & variables users may implement. In light of that, we can not offer the same level of technical support or the standard warranty that we do for our “Factory Stock” 3D Printers.

If you are comfortable developing your own custom 3D Printer settings, or otherwise modifying your Mantis 3D Printer, please understand that you will be responsible for trouble-shooting any changes in printer performance.

This includes: Any modification of electronics, hardware, firmware, software, G-Code settings, and/or other factory optimized variables.

If you are an experienced 3D Printing user, feel free to modify or develop your own settings on our machine! It’s a wonderful platform to build off of.

But understand before you start that we can not offer our standard tech support or standard warranty since we do not know what has been changed once it’s been modified.

If you understand and agree with all of the above information, then feel free to go “under the hood”, and tweak your printer to suit your custom/advanced application!

An Important Note About Your Mantis 3D Printer, and Connecting to the Internet

Except when otherwise stated in writing, Verde Mantis provides any Verde Mantis Product, Hardware, Software or Service or any Third Party Product, Hardware, Software or Service "As-Is" without warranty of any kind. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Verde Mantis Product, Hardware, Software or Service is with you.

If you connect your Verde Mantis Product, Hardware, Software or Service to the Internet, the entire risk is with you.

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, in no event will Verde Mantis be liable for your damages, including any general, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use any Verde Mantis Product, Hardware, Software, or Service or any third-party Product, Hardware, Software, or Service

An important note about running 3rd party filaments

The Mantis’ settings are tuned specifically for Overture 1.75mm PLA filament. While the Mantis uses open source hardware capable of using a variety of filaments, other unknown filaments may cause jams and negatively impact the printing capability of your Mantis unless all settings are adjusted accordingly.

This should be left to experienced users who are comfortable developing their own print parameters for 3rd party filaments.

If you are using custom settings, or unknown filament, our first trouble shooting step will be to revert to factory printer settings, and ask you run a factory recommended filament

Thank you for your understanding, please contact us before modifying your 3D Printer if you have any questions.
