ABOUT YOUR PRINTER

  • The build volume is 200mm x 200mm x 200mm, or 8” x 8” x 8”

  • There is a camera built into the Mantis 3D Printer that allows you to capture Time-Lapse videos.

You can learn more about the Time-Lapse Video feature here.

  • It’s located on the back of your Mantis 3D Printer on a printed label.

  • Simply unplug your Mantis 3D Printer when you do not want it to broadcast a Wi-Fi signal.

  • The Mantis requires 1.75 mm plastic filament.

We recommend exclusively using Overture 1.75mm PLA filament to ensure optimal performance.

We do not recommend 3rd party filaments of any kind for novice users.

For Expert users pursuing specialized applications, the Mantis is capable of running all commonly available commercial filaments (PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG, and more). This requires going “under the hood” to modify print parameters, and tuning your own parameters to achieve optimal performance. Please understand that changing your factory optimized print settings may affect the level of customer support we can provide. See our Customer Support Policy for more detail.

  • Our printers are factory tuned to print with the Hot Tip at 205 degrees Celsius, and the Heated Bed at 60 degrees Celsius.

  • The stock layer height is .1 mm. We recommend novice users keep their factory optimized settings, but Expert users pursuing advanced applications have complete control over layer height “under the hood”.

  • The Mantis has two fans installed, a “Part Cooling Fan” and an “Extruder Fan”

The Extruder Fan is always running. You must unplug you Mantis 3D Printer to turn this fan off.
